Terms of Service

1. What Humrun is

Humrun (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a service that runs Python scripts on a schedule. You write or generate scripts, we execute them at the times you specify.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when signing up
  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
  • One person or legal entity per account
  • You must be 18 or older to use Humrun

3. What you can do

You may use Humrun for lawful automation tasks, such as:

  • Monitoring websites and APIs
  • Sending yourself notifications and reports
  • Processing data you have permission to access

4. What you cannot do

You agree NOT to use Humrun to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Scrape websites that prohibit scraping in their terms of service
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system
  • Overwhelm third-party services with excessive requests
  • Store or transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Abuse, harass, or harm others
  • Mine cryptocurrency
  • Circumvent any usage limits we set

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without notice.

5. Your scripts and data

  • You own your scripts and data
  • You grant us permission to run your scripts on our infrastructure
  • We do not claim ownership of your code or outputs
  • We may access your scripts for support, debugging, or investigating abuse
  • You're responsible for any secrets (API keys, passwords) you store with us

6. Third-party services

Your scripts may interact with third-party services (APIs, websites, email providers). You're responsible for:

  • Complying with their terms of service
  • Managing your own API keys and credentials
  • Any charges those services may incur

7. Service availability

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time
  • We'll try to give reasonable notice for planned maintenance
  • Scheduled scripts may occasionally be delayed or missed

8. Limitation of liability

Humrun is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for the actions your scripts take or their consequences

You use Humrun at your own risk. If your script deletes data, sends wrong emails, or causes any harm, that's on you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Humrun and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the service
  • Your scripts and their effects
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

10. Payment and refunds

  • Free tier usage is subject to limits we may change
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually
  • Refunds are at our discretion
  • We may change pricing with 30 days notice

11. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time
  • We can suspend or terminate your account for any reason, with or without notice
  • Upon termination, your scripts and data will be deleted

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
